Places like Marvin (and many areas in the greater Charlotte region) create challenges. Marvin is actually a village (not a town or city). It is a small rural location in the northwestern corner of Union County NC. Marvin has a mailing address of Waxhaw. Yes, some residents will write Marvin as the mailing address but ultimately, the US Postal service delivers based on Post Offices and zip codes. The Marvin area is serviced by the Waxhaw Post Office and the US Zip Code is 28173.
Marvin is bordered to the north by Charlotte, more specifically, the Ballantyne Real Estate region of South Charlotte. To the east of Marvin is Weddington. Weddington Real Estate is also very popular but that is another blog.
To the south of Marvin is Waxhaw. Waxhaw Real Estate includes the areas in northern Waxhaw that represent the thriving Union County suburbs of Charlotte. The southern side of Waxhaw is still largely rural with new communities still popping up.
To the west of Marvin is the South Carolina border and an area known as Indian Land. Indian Land is in Lancaster County SC and has a Fort Mill Real Estate US Post Office (zip code 29707). The Firethorne Country Club has homes in both Indian Land and Marvin. Each has its benefits and both are popular.
